Know of any local or regional blogs/newsletters to add to our new 'Other regional blogs' page?

We get asked a lot about other blogs or newsletters that are similar to Space City Weather. Let’s be clear: this NOTHING like Space City Weather. That said, there are plenty of locally focused weather publications out there, and if you’re moving or want to keep up with another part of the country, you can probably find one. We’ve put together a standing page with blogs and newsletters that are independent, with emphasis on local weater, and that post regularly. You can find it here:

Read the list and if you know of one that fits the criteria, please let us know. Reply here with a link and brief description. We’re not looking for nationally focused blogs, or those that track national or climate trends. Think local, think quality!

Oof…Cliff Mass. He was my professor for several courses. I used to peek in on his blog after my departure from the Pac NW. Not so much anymore, but I get it. With filters, he’s probably the best source up there.

For SW Colorado including Durango, Telluride, and Pagosa Springs check out the Durango Weather Guy.

Good one, here’s the link:

For western North Carolina, which has a lot of micro-climates along the Appalachian Mountains, there is Ray’s Weather - raysweather dot com. They have forecasts for each of their stations in the area (Boone, Wilkesboro, etc)

You have Rays Weather listed for the western NC mountains. It is the best. We live in Linville, NC for the summer & depend on Ray to know what is going to happen each day. Believe it or not, we are quite affected by hurricanes here in the mountains (especially Helene) & I often compare what Ray & SCW say is coming, & they are usually identical forecasts. So no BS!
