I don’t know if it was conspiracy theory but the sensor at IAH was almost always warmer than other area sensors. Could be the actual sensor. Could be its proximity to asphalt, concrete or a runway. I have no idea. But I think it’s wise to look for a reason as to why that is? Hopefully, they figure it out and it comes more in line with other area readings.
@Glenn I would hope that the sensor is located away from any asphalt, etc. as that, in my opinion, would give a false reading. I cannot rule it out, but it would be irresponsible for them to do that. Same thing for downtown before 1969. I wonder where any sensors would have been then. Hopefully away from any concrete and not anywhere near a hot roof.
I had no idea there was a team cumulonimbus!

I do think Saturday will be busier, but I cannot deny that today was a total failure in the rain department. Brutal.
