With the latest Discourse code update, the developers have added the option to choose any reaction emoji for liking/disliking posts, instead of just the static list of emojis that was previously available. Now, when tapping on the “heart” like icon for a post, you’ll see an additional gray smiley face at the bottom-right of the list:
Tapping that will bring up the full system emoji picker, where you can scroll through or search for precisely the right emoji to express your feelings about the weather forecast, or anything else:
Discourse is in very active development, and while we’re being very careful which changes we incorporate into our setup, this one seemed fun enough to go ahead and install
